A warm thank you to @aircanada for their generous donation of $30,000 to support our Centre for Refugee Children! Air Canada’s support helps our Centre for Refugee Children hire a further two Child and Youth Settlement Counsellors who will work with unaccompanied and separated children and youth across Ontario.
Did you know, every year a few hundred children and youth arrive to Canada alone and seeking refugee protection? Last year, the Centre supported 104 of these young people.
A few images of the Centre for a Refugee Children’s youth engaging in programming, as planned and facilitated by the Centre’s Child and Youth Settlement Counsellors. Staff ensure young refugees new and alone in Ontario have shelter, basic needs, a designated representative for their refugee claim, access to legal support and so much more.
