Christie Refugee Welcome Centre Announces New Executive Director
Christie Refugee Welcome Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Chaise as the Executive Director of the Centre effective October 16, 2017. This appointment follows the retirement of Linda Moorcroft (https://christiestreetrc.com/retirement-announcement/) who has provided leadership, direction and inspiration to the Centre for the past 20 years.
Sam Chaise is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) degree and a graduate of the Arrow Leadership Program. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Cultural Intelligence and Servant Leadership.
Sam brings a rich background that includes experience as the Executive Director of Canadian Baptist Ministries, a national faith based denominational organization with international programs and partners, founding Director of the Carey Institute and as a senior/lead pastor in several church settings. He is a strategic thinker and leader with extensive cross-cultural experience working with boards, leading teams, building consensus and charting future direction. Sam is familiar with global justice issues and has a strong network of connections which will add value to the Centre. He has proven experience in areas of human resources, financial management, fund raising, operations and engagement with partner organizations. Sam is an inspirational and highly collaborative leader and we are confident you will find him to be someone who you will relate to and work with well and who will lead the Centre effectively.
