We met our goal! Our winter clothing drive was an enormous success. We are grateful for your generous donations. The first two months of this year have been snowy and COLD! Our cupboards are well stocked, and we’ve had all of the shapes and sizes we need to outfit our clients.
From their first day at Christie our clients have the warm gear they need to navigate this new country. They are able to comfortably travel to school, appointments and hearings. It also means that our clients have been able to ENJOY the snow, maybe even more than those who have lived in Canada longer. We’ve had enthusiastic volunteers for snow shovelling, many afternoons of sledding and the first snowfall saw all of our kids outside having a spontaneous dance party.
We’re no longer able to accept clothing donations of any kind. Thank you for your understanding and we’ll look forward to next year’s winter clothing drive!
