Christie Refugee Welcome Centre is honoured to be a recipient of a Jays Care Foundation Grand Slam Grant to support our After-School Literacy Program for Refugee Children. Since 2000, Jays Care has invested $17.25 million towards charitable and community programs across Canada. Over 40 newly-arrived refugee children participate each year in our After-School Literacy Program with the majority of the children doubling their literacy skills during the program. Thank you to the Jays Care Foundation for contributing to this impactful program that helps refugee children get a great start in Canada.
